ARLINGTONGo. – The Arlington County Police Department will be conducting road closures to accommodate two upcoming events taking place Saturday, June 18, 2022.

2022 Zero Prostate Cancer 5K Run/Walk

The 2022 Zero Prostate Cancer 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, June 18. The following roads will be closed in order to accommodate the event:

From 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. approximately

From approximately 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Columbia Pike Blues Festival 2022

The 2022 Columbia Pike Blues Festival will take place on Saturday, June 18 and will begin at approximately 1:00 p.m. The following roads will be closed from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. in order to accommodate the event:

  • S. Walter Reed Promenade, from 9e S. St. to Columbia Pike.

  • 9e S. Street, from S. Highland Street to S. Walter Reed Drive.

  • 9e S. Road, from S. Garfield Street to S. Walter Reed Drive.

Further information

The public should expect to see an increased police presence in the area, and motorists are urged to follow the direction of law enforcement, watch for closures and remain alert to increased foot traffic .

Race participants and spectators are encouraged to use public transport or other forms of multi-modal transport, as street parking around the event will be limited. The Pentagon City Mall parking garage will be available for those who choose to drive.

Motorists should be on the lookout for temporary “No Parking” signs. Illegally parked vehicles may be fined or towed. If your vehicle is being towed from a public road, call the emergency communications center at 703-558-2222.
