Moovit App To Offer Car-Sharing Services To Users In Israel Soon As Part Of Its City Navigation Options

Israel-based Moovit App Global Ltd. will integrate local vehicle-sharing services in Israel into its transit app, the company said Thursday. Some of the services that will be made available through the app include Tel Aviv City Auto-Tel shared car service, Beijing Mobike Technology Co. Ltd. bike sharing service. and the Los Angeles-based Bird Rides Inc. electric scooter sharing service.

Founded in 2012 and based in central Israel, Moovit develops a free mobile navigation app that provides real-time information on public transport in 2,700 cities in 86 countries.

With its new offerings, the Moovit App will display these services as part of its navigation options, allowing users to book them directly from the Moovit App.

Moovit’s sales have grown 350% in the past year, according to company statements. The company raised a fourth round of funding at $ 50 million, led by Intel Capital. Moovit currently has 140 employees and touts with around 335 million current users.
